Format	Feature
JPEG/JPG	Compressed, commonly used for photographs
PNG	Supports transparency, lossless compression
GIF	Supports simple animation, limited colour palette
BMP	Uncompressed, large file size, high quality

Raster/Bitmap Graphics: Made of pixels; lose quality when scaled up (e.g., photos)
Vector Graphics: Made of mathematical paths; scale without quality loss (e.g., logos)
